Students have the option of taking classes outside the standard offerings. For example, students may take advanced placement courses, foreign languages, or technical training courses at local schools and/or area colleges. WSD also uses technology to provide distance learning opportunities for students on campus, as well as students off campus who wish to take courses instructed in ASL.
Sample courses include:
- Distance ASL (students from other districts enroll in courses taught by WSD staff)
- Dual enrollment in local school district and WSD (student attends local public school for some classes and WSD for others)
