The Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH) is hosting free workshops for people who are Deaf and hard of hearing to learn about government processes in Wisconsin. All Deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind people are welcome to attend. Saturday, September 7 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. IndependenceFirst Room 106 A,B,C 540 S 1st Street Milwaukee, WI 53204. Saturday, October 19 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Access to Independence 3810 Milwaukee Street Madison, WI 53714. Presenter: Jason Altmann. Light refreshments and pizza will be served. RSVP as soon as possible to Bette Mentz-Powell by email at bette.mentzpowell@dhs.wisconsin.gov or by phone at 608-319-1249. Interpreter and CART services will be provided. If you are deafblind and need an additional interpreter, contact Bette Mentz-Powell as soon as possible. Additional workshops will be held in Green Bay and Wausau later this year.
