- Perform hands-on chemistry experiments.

- Participate in an exciting Science Decathlon!

Who can attend? Deaf and hard of hearing students who will be in the 9th–12th grades in the fall of 2019.
How to qualify?
- Must be enrolled in standard or general high school diploma track program.
- Good grades in science and technology courses.
- Carry a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above.

Here’s what you’ll do!
- Self discovery and outdoor activities to help you develop leadership, teamwork, and self-confidence.
- Outdoor activities to help you develop leadership, teamwork, and self-confidence.
- Take assessments designed to help you, your parents, and your Vocational Rehabilitation/Department of Rehabilitation (VR/DOR) counselors learn more about your strengths, areas of improvement, values, interests, and potential careers.
- Develop a transition portfolio with our support for you to bring home to your families, schools, and VR/DOR counselors.
- Choose an area of focus from three possible tracks for afternoon sessions: DeafBiz, Blackbox Theatre, or ACT Prep.
Program fee: $750 (limited scholarships available)
Who can attend? Deaf and hard of hearing students who will be in the 10th–12th grades in the fall of 2019.
How to qualify?
- Must be enrolled in standard or general high school diploma track program.
- Carry a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Recommendation letter from teacher or career counselor.

Language (ASL). You will learn ASL from instructors and camp counselors who are also deaf and hard of hearing. This camp is designed for new signers who are at the beginning or intermediate level.Here’s what you’ll do!

Explore Your Future Explore Your Future

July 6, 2019 – July 11, 2019Explore Your Future (EYF) is a six-day career exploration program at Rochester Institute of Technology for college-bound deaf and hard-of-hearing high school students who will begin their junior or senior year in fall 2019. This program focuses on personal growth and career awareness for students as they begin to think about college.
Attendees may choose between two sessions: July 6-11 or July 13-18, 2019.
If your student is working with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) you may want to discuss this program with their DVR counselor as well. They may be able to assist with some or most of the cost.
Students who attend EYF who enroll at RIT/NTID for college will receive a $1,000 scholarship and an application fee waiver to apply to RIT at no cost.

July 6, 2019We are offering ASL stories and activities to all children and parents. The story will be signed by a Deaf individual and activities will follow. Snacks will be offered by Outreach/SLAD, and drinks will be sold in the clubhouse.
