Milmaglyn Morales
Center Director

Milmaglyn is a leader in Deaf education with more than 20 years of experience focused on early language access and bilingual-bicultural education. She serves as Center Director of the Wisconsin Educational Services Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, a master’s degree in Special Education, and a Sixth-Year Certificate in Educational Leadership. Her career spans roles as an early childhood teacher, K–12 educator, early interventionist, and school leader, including serving as Principal of the Early Childhood Center at the Learning Center for the Deaf – Marie Philip School.

Milmaglyn is a certified Deaf interpreter and a dedicated advocate for early language access and equity for Deaf children and families.

Mason Wood
Dean of Students

 

Mason is a behavioral health leader with more than 20 years of experience supporting students with disabilities in educational and clinical settings. Since 2022, he has served as the Pupil Services Supervisor (Dean of Students) at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf.

Previously, Mason was the Associate Director of Student Life at the American School for the Deaf, where he oversaw the PACES Residential Behavior Program, Athletics, Transportation, and CORE Residential Programming. His leadership focuses on building systems of care that support student growth, safety, and well-being.

Mason holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis in behavioral health and is a Licensed Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) completing his clinical hours. He also holds a Substance Abuse Counselor–IT license and serves in inpatient behavioral health facilities for adults.

He is committed to a child-first philosophy, emphasizing whole-child development and understanding trauma and mental health as key factors influencing behavior to create safe, supportive environments where students can thrive.

Jeff Rawlings
Director of Student Life

Jeff has served as Director of Student Life (Residential Dorm) at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf (WSD) since 2018. A proud WSD alumnus (Class of 1997), he began his career at WSD in 2002 and has dedicated more than two decades to supporting students and strengthening Student Life programs.

Jeff has held progressive leadership roles, including Residential Advisor, Work Leader, and Assistant Dean of Students. Throughout his career, he has helped establish the Dorm Support Services Team, strengthened collaboration between residential and academic staff, and partnered with the Health Center, Outreach Services, and other departments to deliver engaging student programs. He also oversees athletics and extracurricular activities in collaboration with the Athletic Director.

His professional focus includes supporting student transitions, fostering independent living and community integration skills, promoting student safety, and advancing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Jeff also serves on the board of the National Student Life for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and will serve as Conference Chair when WSD hosts the NSLDHH conference in June 2027.

Terric Stephens
Assistant Director of Student Life

Terric has served as the Assistant Director of Student Life (Residential Dormitory) at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf since 2018. He brings extensive experience in the mental health field, having worked in the profession since 2007 and having held numerous leadership positions across a variety of organizations.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Stephens served as Director of Student Life at the Austine School for the Deaf in Vermont. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Gallaudet University. His professional focus includes supporting residential dormitory staff in facilitating student transitions, promoting independent living and community integration skills, ensuring student safety, and advancing the implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

Matthew Eby 
Athletic Director

Matthew Eby has served as the Athletic Director at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf since 2012. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Gallaudet University and a Master’s degree in Teaching from National University.

With more than 16 years of experience in athletics, coaching, and leadership, Matthew oversees all athletic programs, extracurricular activities, and Summer Experience programs. He previously worked at the New York School for the Deaf–Fanwood and the National Deaf Academy in Florida.

Matthew served on the National Deaf Interscholastic Athletic Association (NDIAA) Board from 2014–2023 and currently serves as Vice President of the Indian Trails Athletic Conference. A former member of the U.S. Deaf National Soccer Team, he competed in multiple Deaflympics and World Deaf Championships.

DelRae Howell
Food Manager

DelRae began her career in 2017 at the Wisconsin School for the Blind and Visually Impaired as a food service employee. She later transitioned into an Office Operations Associate (OOA) role with the Wisconsin School for the Deaf, where she worked closely with the Buildings & Grounds Superintendent and took on increased responsibilities related to the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.

Her combined experience in food service and office operations led to her promotion to Food Service Manager for both the Wisconsin School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in 2021.

DelRae is committed to ensuring students at both schools receive healthy, nutritious meals while maintaining compliance with National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program guidelines.
