Gallaudet's Camp Catch Them Young Gallaudet's Camp Catch Them Young

July 14, 2019 – July 21, 2019Camp Catch Them Young is a 7-Day Youth Cultural Immersion Summit for high school students from 9th through 12th grades.
This camp will help Deaf children of Color by building their cultural capital and enabling them to:
- broaden their horizons;
- better prepare their minds to aspire for college degrees;
- prepare them for the challenges of a college education; and
- plant the seeds of personal mission and vision towards leadership in their young minds.
Each student who participates in this camp, will be connected with a mentor who will be available to support their journey towards completion of high school and through their college years.

Six Flags Great America and the Lake County Center For Independent Living present the 24th Annual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness Days!
The days for this event will be July 20, 21, 27 & 28. Discounted tickets are available for pre-purchase.
On Saturday, July 20 sign language interpreters will be available in the park at specific shows at designated times and also all day in Guest Services. Interpreters will be available on July 20 only. A schedule of the interpreted events will be available at Guest Services.

July 25, 2019This summer GLAS Education is hosting star parties at the Riviera Ballroom in downtown Lake Geneva! You and your family can experience portable planetarium shows, telescopes, and an assortment of themed hands-on activities. There is something new to see at each event.
July 20th 1969 was the first time humans ever step foot on the moon. Now, 50 years later, that accomplishment still stands as one of the greatest feats ever achieved. Come celebrate with GLAS Education as we look back at that historic moment and have fun exploring all of the aspects that made that mission possible!
