    We are offering ASL storybook and activity to all children and parents. Story will be signed by Deaf person and activities will follow. Snacks will be offered by Outreach/SLAD and drinks will be sold in the clubhouse.

    Free event for families! Free Pizza! Free childcare!

    Sign Language, Spanish, Hmong Interpretation available upon request. (Need at least two weeks notice.)

    Who should attend: Parents, Children, Extended Family and Siblings!
    Why: This parent-led event will be fun for the whole family!
    How:

    • Pizza, fruit and beverages will be provided; free for families. Served in the meeting room at the Children’s Museum (second floor).
    • Children will have fun and tour the Museum. Free childcare will be provided.
    • The adults (parents/extended family/caregivers) will meet in a conference room on the same floor as the kids to network with one another, share experiences, and have a hands-on demo with Assistive Technology presented by Midwest Independent Living Center.
    • We will end our time together by having story time.

    This event is supported by these statewide programs: Portage County Birth to Three Program,
    WI Sound Beginnings, WI Regional Centers for Children with Special Health Care Needs, and Outreach Services for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind/Parent Guide Program.
